The Department of Learning and Teaching (DLT) is responsible for aligning the school’s practices with the Educational Philosophy and ACE Learning Principles. The focus of the Department is to ensure student learning and growth, according to the Educational Philosophy, through increasing teacher professional development. This includes new teacher induction, in-house coaching and reflection, workshops based on teacher needs, curriculum overhaul, social-emotional development, revision of special programs, etc.
This Department is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of curriculum, teaching and learning, and assessment in all school divisions, as based on the Major Learning Plans developed during the accreditation process with NEASC. The goals for the Department are:

- To build a strong sense of belonging to a community, within, around and outside of the school
- To ensure that the school has the financial capacity and means to deliver and maintain a high quality international education through purposeful allocation of resources for time and space
- To provide the facilities that enable us to deliver a rich and balanced learning program appropriate to the education of international-minded students
