Exciting Visit from the World Robot Olympiad Association at CDA
We are thrilled to share that our grades 3-5 students recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in an interactive presentation by the World Robot Olympiad Association (WROA). Having WROA visit CDA was an absolute honor, and it brought with it a world of possibilities for our students. The engaging session introduced our young learners to the fascinating world of robotics and technology, sparking their interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers.
The World Robot Olympiad Association is an international organization dedicated to inspiring young people around the globe to develop their creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork through robotics competitions. The WROA organizes competitions where students design, build, and program robots to complete specific tasks. These competitions provide a platform for students to apply what they learn in school to real-world scenarios, encouraging innovation and a passion for technology.
As a proud member school of the WROA, CDA students will be competing in this year’s World Robot Olympiad. This opportunity will allow them to put their newfound knowledge into practice, work collaboratively on innovative projects, and challenge themselves in an international arena.
Our students were captivated as they explored the endless potential of robotics, from building and programming to solving real-world challenges. This experience opened their eyes to the cool and innovative things they can learn about right here at school, inspiring many to think about future careers in STEM fields.
